Milan Cathedral (Italian: Duomo di Milano), or Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary (Italian: Cattedrale di Santa Maria Nascente), is a cathedral located in the historic center of Milan. Dedicated to the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Construction dates: 1386 - 1813 (1965)
The total length of the temple is 158 meters, the width of the transverse nave is 92 m, the height of the spire is 106.5 m. The cathedral can accommodate up to 40,000 people. Elevator.
One of the largest in Europe. Among Gothic temples, it is second only to Seville in capacity, and among Italian temples, only to St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican.
